Friends!! Dear ones!! Welcome to the super secret song release page!

At one point you said to me some variation of, “Let me know when your first song is out.”

WELP! I had to drop a song early so I can drop my first song in February...

Confused? Me too! But we both get music out of it. Read on!

I’m so happy to tell you that my first official release is coming out on Friday, Feb. 3! “Darling Eye” is a lush, haunting Americana collaboration with Chris Peace, Maggie Pope and Cate Monaco. "Darling Eye" is the lead single off of Chris’ long-awaited, much-hyped SongCraft Vol. 2… and there’s a music video!! Ahh!! You can hear a little preview of "Darling Eye" on Instagram here.

But in order to release a collaboration, I had to go claim my profiles on all our various favorite streaming services... Bureaucracy, right? So that’s why I’m releasing a SECRET SONG and I’m only telling the small circle of creative, supportive folks who have been encouraging me from the beginning.

Sentimental moment... You may not know that I have a special memory of a time you’ve helped me believe in myself when I’ve doubted my abilities or my worth as a songwriter.

So I want you to be able to hear this song before the rest of the world even knows it’s here.

Scroll down or click here for the links to the secret song and the unlisted lyric video that you can't find anywhere else!

Read on if you want to hear more about it while listening to it...

When you go listen to “You Say,” you may think… Eryn, don’t you write country songs?  Yeah, and I always will. Country songs are this L.A. girl's first love. (Psst - while you're here on the site, my country pitch demos will be taken down at the end of this month. They're still on the music page if you want to take a listen before they're gone!)

But my favorite songs have always been the ones that play at the “edge of understanding,” when you have no idea what the heck the lyrics mean but you still feel them in your bones. (Hat tip to my songwriter buddy Susan Rowe for “the edge of understanding”... Susan and I also have a collaboration coming out this year, too! I'm drowning in talented friends!)

I wanted “You Say” to feel like an underwater, dissonant dreamscape. I wrote it, played all the instruments, produced it, and mastered it. I’m middling to novice at all of those things at best, so if you’re expecting perfection, that’s not me (anymore).

I’d appreciate it so much if you’d:

- Give it a few spins on your favorite streaming service (and give me a follow so you can get notified of the Feb. 3 release of “Darling Eye”!)
- Add it to a playlist
- Share it with a friend who loves supporting indie songwriters
- Let me know if you love it! (And if you don’t, please don’t tell me! I am very fragile and get crushed by criticism!)

Happy New Year and thank you SO much for all your support!

Big, big love - Eryn

PS. Scroll down for the lyric video!

PPS. Because you’re on this small list of music lovers, you’ll get free early access to something special before the Feb. 3 release of Darling Eye. Hang around if you like!

And if you’d like to change your communication preferences, that’s ok! Just click this link. My daughter asked me the other day, "Mommy, do I have to like ALL of your music?" I said "Baby, I don't even like all of my music." And I won't be offended in the least if you don't love getting emails about music. I send maybe two emails a year but there might be an uptick this year with all the new tunes coming. I make no promises either way because I bristle against structure and obligation, but I do promise to abide by whatever your communication preferences are. And if you have a mailing list, put me on it! You're only on here because I know and adore you personally, and I'd love to hear what you're up to.

Enjoy, follow and share on these streaming platforms and more:
